We love to visit restaurants that share our Journey to Real Life philosophy. Here you’ll find recommendable restaurants with our detailed reviews.
For the love of quality, for the environment and for our health, we buy organic products. We think it’s great that more and more really good restaurants use organic ingredients. Restaurants that have confirmed that at least 80% of their ingredients are organic, can be found here.
At the beginning we only had organic restaurants on our blog. But there are more sustainable restaurants that share our philosophy in one way or another, without using 80 % organic ingredients. These can be found here.
We were invited to a 5-course gourmet dinner and to stay a night at the Hotel Swiss in the town of Kreuzlingen near Lake Constance. The Hotel Swiss is the first and only 100% vegan hotel in Switzerland. This applies to the food as well as the textiles and the personal care products in the bathrooms. On Friday evening, the operator and top chef Raphael Lüthy and his team offer the mentioned 5-course gourmet dinner, where individual courses can also be ordered. We were curious of we could expect.
Here is our Hotel Swiss dinner review.
An organic Japanese restaurant with daily vegan lunch options in my favorite city Porto? When I first heard about it, I knew I had to visit it. And since we are in Porto, we went there a few days later. We were amazed by this small lunch restaurant and its friendly owners.
Here our lunch review of the Namban Oporto Kitchen Café in Porto.
It was a friend that lives in Luzern who told me about Blend Teehaus for the first time. I immediately knew I wanted to try this organic oriental brunch. A few weeks later I went there with Prospi and my friend so to discover this cosy little place.

As some of you may know, we go to Portugal on holidays every year. Two years ago, we have discovered the restaurant Cultura dos Sabores in Porto and since that moment we’ve been big fans. In the article «Plant-based (vegan) travelling» , I’ve already recommended you to go there. In the meantime, we ate there again several times and it was each time a pleasure. Therefore, we finally wrote a review of this great restaurant.

We just love to visit organic restaurants with great people. Brasserie Lorraine is an especially cozy place for this. We were there with two friendly couples on a Saturday evening. We laughed and talked a lot. Real Life. We took some photos for you and summarized our impressions in this article.

On the wonderfully sunny Ascension weekend in early may, we made a trip to Surselva. We were allowed to spend a very relaxing time at the Bio-Hotel (organic hotel) Ucliva. We will report about the green hotel and its sustainable approach in our next article. Today I want to present you the Ucliva restaurant. This is an important part of the hotel and attracts numerous guests from Switzerland and abroad.
Here our dinner and brunch review of the Ucliva in Waltensburg.
We visited the Hammam Basar Salon on a Sunday afternoon, after visiting the Swiss National Museum in Zurich for the first time. Although the whole week had been sunny, on Sunday it was very cold outside. That’s why we enjoyed the cosy atmosphere in the Hammam Basar Salon even more. We met with good friends and spent a perfect Sunday afternoon with exciting conversations, laughter and good food.
Here our review for the Hammam Basar Salon in Zurich.
Since we are often travel between our home in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and the rest of Switzerland by train, we are regularly at the Olten train station. When we recently went to Basel for an exciting portrait article (more on this coming soon), we decided to include a stopover in the Bioland Olten at lunch time. This restaurant, which is an organic health food store as well as an organic restaurant, is located directly next to the train station. I already knew about the high quality of the products and the lunch meals sounded so delicious that I always wanted to try one. My positive expectations were even exceeded.
